We have been living in Berkeley for almost six months. We are quite content, but I must admit an outing to San Francisco is always a nice option for me. I really like the air and the nature here, but our neighbours have chickens in their frontyards, and I have been stopped on the sidewalk by wild turkeys many times !
Before we made it the train station, I read on the internet that there was a shooting in our area, approximetely 20 min from our house. The locals were asking on my way if I knew anything, and I watched police helicopters monitoring the incident area ..#welcometotheusa
This time I had to take BART by myself, with the baby, of course. Rosie was a trooper, as usual:) Metro BART is friendly to handicapped, elderly, parents with strollers, and passengers with luggage. So we easily took the outside elevator to our platform.
Without bigger problems (after all I wasn’t flying solo with a baby), we arrived at the Embarcadero station. There my friend, who is unfortunately leaving San Francisco for another city was waiting for us.
Ane here you can see the beautiful Bay Bridge and a boat- ferry, popular means of transportation, We have to try it one day.
The weather was great. Just a couple of days earlier, we are stormed yet again by El Niño. But in California there is never enough of the rain!
After work, Dean picked us up. We took BART during the rush hour. It wasn’t so bad. The passangers lined to the metro’s door calmly. Most were looking on their cell phones. Everywhere is nice, but on the swing in Berkely it is the best! But we will take a BART trip to San Francisco again!
